If you are reading this article you are probably wanting to start a YouTube Career, YouTube can be a whole lot of fun, a bit risky and sometimes hard, but for the most part fun. One of the big things people screw up on with YouTube is not having the correct equipment, meaning you have a bad microphone, or a bad computer, or just not what you need. When starting YouTube, it is important to have most of or all of what you need. That does not mean go buy all the best of the best everything and spend a lot of money, just enough to get you started. The reason you do not go all the way when buying YouTube gear is that not everyone makes it, and it just is not for some people, so you have to try it first, do not expect to go buy 2000 dollars worth of equipment and then earn it back through YouTube in a week or a month, because that is usually not the case. Being a creator on YouTube needs to start out as a hobby more then a job. Because believe me unless you work really really hard it will not turn into a job for a while, but it is a good start on the road to sponsors, partners and adscense, adscense is your main source of income in the beginning because you don't have any sponsors or partners when ever someone sees your add on your video you get a little bit of money, pretty cool huh! Keep in mind some people have add blocker so if you have one thousand views on a video and have not made 5 dollars, that just means either the same person has watched it multiple times, or some people have adblocker that have watched your videos.
When uploading content to YouTube, you want to make sure its your best, you can not half ass it and expect to get subscribers who want more, you want to give the people something they want to see, if its gaming make it exciting, if its hiking make it beautiful and so on and so forth, i am sure you get the point now, you don't want just any half bake content on your channel, because believe me you will not make money that way unless you are extremely lucky, in other words not a risk worth taking.
Another mistake kind of a long the same lines is a common mistake as well, if you upload a video you dont like, make sure to delete it right away, because after people start to see it and its been up for a while once you delete it, it will lower your ranking on Google and YouTube, for reasons i am not aware of.
Finally there is upload consistency, if you want to keep and advance your ranking which is where your video shows up when searched for, you most upload on a regular basis, whether that be daily or weekly, but try to make it as often as possible, once again referencing to how good the video is, if you need to take more time to make a higher quality video, then go for it! But try not to make your subscribers wait to long! There is also tags, put tags in your video that match what your video is about or popular you tubers doing the same thing, also your channel name!
I hope this guide helped you get started, and there are lots more out there so good luck and see you on the red carpet!
